MEET THE FOUNDER
Philippe’s story has always moved on two wheels.
Philippe Soria, originally from France, is an avid outdoor enthusiast who competed as a BMX racing champion in the 1980s, representing his country at prestigious international competitions.
After relocating to Australia more than two decades ago, Philippe’s commitment to community life inspired him to envision the Suffolk Park Pump Track. He worked closely with the Suffolk Park Progress Association and Byron Shire Council to help bring it to life.
That same love of outdoor sport and local connection led him to establish Byron Bay Bikes. As owner and operator, Philippe brings genuine cycling expertise and a passion for creating memorable experiences for the Byron community and its visitors.
